Been living in Hackney/Stratford for nearly 10 years and struggling to find a proper caff or greasy spoon due to the Olympic village being a bit posh. Finally found it here. Look forward to sharing many mornings and hangovers here. Huge portions, reasonable prices, good service. Absolutely ideal.

Stayed nearby for 3 nights and ate here every morning. Such a friendly place, made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The food was epic, mega portions at amazing prices. I don't think there's many places to get a full english with a bree for less than 10.

Blown away by how delicious the vegetarian breakfast was. And they have literally freshly squeezed orange juice. If I had to imagine what a stereotypical British working man's café looked like, it would be this place. Food comes in large portions and is extremely well priced. Amazing find

The real deal! Mapps is the kind of place you get to feel at home! I’ve had a fantastic experience, from a real full english breakfast to talking about football with the boss!!! The waitresses were fantastic and it was awesome to get to live a little bit off the old beaten path!!!!

Stayed a week in Hackney Wick and came here for breakfast most days. Super affordable traditional breakfast with a coffee. Love the vibe. Owner is so kind. 10/10.

Proper old-school Builders café. Where else can you get a decent fry-up for 7?! Friendly staff, speedy service, and just two minutes from the canal and Hackney Wick Station. If you're after a greasy spoon providing amazing value for money this place is a must, will line your stomach and set you up for the day! Love this place!!!

This is a really proper working mans cafe. Best cage I've been to in years. Food is cooked to order and portions are very good. I had a full English and my god there was plenty there, including a very large portion of mushrooms. Most so called cafes these days are not very good and serve small portions. This is not one of them. It is in a back street and you wouldn't even notice it as it doesn't stand out. But am I glad I found it. Prices are very reasonable, staff are friendly and helpful. Tables are clean and tidy. Menu is for everyone. Huge amount of choices.
